Beach Movies & Yard Games

June 1, 2022 - August 17, 2022

Families can gather for a movie right on the beach Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights all summer long – for FREE! In addition to the main event there will be music and entertainment with family friendly yard games like corn hole, ladder ball, spikeball, large connect four and more.

Movies will start at dusk. Movies will be shown on a gigantic screen on the beach. In the event of inclement weather, the movie and games will be canceled.

Learn how to be safe in the surf and spell your name using semaphore. The famous Ocean City Beach Patrol is on hand with everything you need to know.

Wednesday: Knot Tying @10am

Become an expert at nautical knots with help from the U.S Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Bring the whole family out for an evening of interactive fun! Games include sand castle contests, tug-of-war, relays, and more! This fun and free event begins on the beach at 6:30 p.m. Parents are asked to stay with their children. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be canceled.

Sundaes in the Park & Fireworks

Spend your Sunday evenings in picturesque Northside Park from 7 - 9 pm listening to your favorite live music. This is a family concert series with pizzazz! Enjoy free music ranging from country to rock, tribute bands to oldies. Each week children are offered various free activities and entertainment. The best thing about Sundaes in the Park is the ice cream, which is available for purchase! Sit back, listen to music and watch the sun set over the beautiful Assawoman Bay. Additional beverage options are available for purchase. Bring your picnic basket and beach chairs.

Sunset Park Party Nights

Enjoy a free concert while watching the sunset over the Isle of Wight Bay from the perfect location in Ocean City! Sunset Park is located along S. Division Street on the Bay, near the Coast Guard Station. 7pm to 9pm. Admission to the park is free.

You are NOT ALLOWED to bring alcoholic beverages to the park, however beverages including beer, are available for purchase. It is recommended that attendees bring their own seating.

Pick your Painting is a unique feature that we offer at the Painting Experience Studio!

It involves each group choosing their own painting from our gallery. Your group chooses the surface, and the design! Our artist will lead you through step by step! (Please note that each person in your group will be painting the same design, although you can each customize your colors, personal touches, etc.). The other groups in the studio during Pick Your Painting will be painting their own designs - so each GROUP is painting something different.

Your choice of canvas or glassware (2 glasses per painter), wooden pallet, crab basket lid, etc.! (Some surfaces may be subject to availability)

Charity Relay Challenge: Ocean City, MD

August 5-6, 2022

Relay teams comprised of the general public, fire departments, companies, nonprofits, and more will take on our modified firefighter skills-based course tackling what are known as the Five Essential Functions™ of America's fire service. All in the name of charity and fun, each race will allow participants to experience a modified version of the physical demands of real-life firefighting by climbing the five-story tower, hoisting, chopping, dragging hoses, and rescuing a life-sized, 110-pound “victim” as participants race against themselves, their opponents, and the clock.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE YOU REGISTER!

REMINDER: The primary goal of this event is for participating teams to raise money for their favorite local charity. Sure, this is about having fun while paying tribute to your local first responders, but in the end, local nonprofits need your help so they too can continue responding to the call. After registering, and within two business days, the team captain will be provided a unique link to build the teams own crowdfunding page to use for their fundraising efforts. Teams will set their own financial goal, and will appeal to their friends, family and coworkers to make tax-deductible contributions that will help them meet and/or exceed the teams' financial goal. It's that easy!

We are excited for the 49th annual White Marlin Open August 8-12, 2022. Come enter to win or simply come to view the spectacle of the World's Largest Billfish Tournament!

The White Marlin Open returns each year for more exciting boats, anglers and plenty of sport fishing. As one of the biggest highlights of summer in OC, this fishing tournament attracts people from all over the globe, even celebrites. With over a million dollars in prizes, this event is one not to miss. As the name states, the White Marlin Open is open to all anglers. The Town of Ocean City, MD and the Art League of Ocean City present the art and cultural event focusing on Artistic Xpression. ArtX, transforms the 58-acre Northside Park and its bayside lagoon into a coastal stage to Xperience an assortment of artistic mediums.

Throughout the weekend, as you wander the beautiful environment, try your hand at one of the many interactive activities for all ages, including drawing and painting. Create your own masterpiece when you sign up for a workshop. Check out the ‘ArtX Fun Field” with photo spots, big games, inflatables and free art activities.
